| Mission Statement To interpret and enforce Louisiana's
Children Code and other statutes in a manner that ensures due process,
fair treatment and justice to juveniles, parents, families and other
persons appearing before the court.
To ensure that juveniles receive the care, guidance, protective
services, supervision, and control conductive to the needs of the
child and the best interest of the community.
To improve the efficiency of the Court's services in order to
provide effective and timely judicial response to the needs of
juveniles and their families.
To coordinate services with the
Department of Juvenile Services to provide rehabilitative
treatment for children, a wide range of services for families,
referrals to community resources and placement of juveniles outside
the home when appropriate.
