| GENERAL DESCRIPTION |
| Under the general direction of a higher classification, performs routine work in the operation of the City-Parish Garages. Work involves issuing parking voucher tickets, collecting monies for parking fees, and patrolling the parking lots for safety hazards and to prevent vandalism and theft. Employees of this class are subject to unusual working hours including nights and weekends. Work is performed under close supervision and accuracy is checked daily through reconciliation of monies collected and parking ticket receipts. Performs other work as requested. |

| ESSENTIAL WORK TASKS |
| Issues parking vouchers to vehicles entering City-Parish parking garages; determines parking charges based on time vehicle remained in the parking garage.
Collects parking fees and makes change or verifies valid prepaid parking garage pass.
Patrols parking garages to locate hazardous conditions; removes debris and reports vandalism, and broken equipment to superior.
Directs vehicle parking for downtown events.

| Skill in the operation of calculators.

| Ability to read and write, and six months experience in a position involving receipt of monies from the general public. |
