the Head Start Program cost? The program is free to those who
qualify. Do you have a waiting list? Yes, please apply early.
How long is your waiting list? It depends on the site being
requested and eligibility. What are your hours of operation? Head
Start Administration: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M-F Head Start Centers: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. M-F Southern University Head Start: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M-F
What are the requirements for Head Start?
Must be age eligible. The family must be income eligible.
Do you provided extended day services?
Southern University Head Start only. When does enrollment begin
for Head Start? The application
process begins in January. Enrollment is done in August.
Does Head Start provide transportation?
Yes, determined by center boundaries. Does my child have to
attend the Head Start in his/her area?
No. Transportation is provided only within center boundaries. |
