District 7 Newsletter

On November 6, 2012 Incumbent C. Denise Marcelle was elected by the citizens of District 7 to serve a second term on the East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Council. C. Denise Marcelle is a lifelong resident of District 7, and has been involved in many community service organizations that serve the
District. She is a 1977 graduate of Capital Senior High School, and received her BA from Southern University in Criminal Justice. She
attended LSU to become a licensed Notary Public on December 6, 2000. Denise currently works as a legal assistant to Attorney Gail Horne
Ray, where she has been employed for over 30 years. She attends Disciples Outreach Ministry where she serves on Ministerial Staff.
Denise is the mother of two and grandmother of nine.
